The General Assembly of the Association of Italian Entrepreneurs in Russia (GIM-Unimpresa) was held on December 10, 2025, at the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

GIM-Unimpresa – the Association of Italian Entrepreneurs in Russia – is a non-profit partnership established in 1994 that has supported and protected the interests of Italian companies operating in the Russian Federation for over 20 years. The Association unites organizations from all major economic sectors, including small, medium, and large enterprises, as well as banks, service companies, and manufacturing sites. At the Assembly at the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, new members of the Board of Directors, Supervisory Board, and Board of Managers were appointed and the Association's current affairs were discussed.

In his welcoming address to the event's participants, Vladimir Platonov, President of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, read by Vladislav Mishchenko, Vice President for International and Interregional Activities of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stated that the event, held at the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is dedicated to economic and political forecasts for the coming year, and that this dialogue provides an opportunity for Italian and Russian entrepreneurs to honestly and professionally discuss fundamental changes in the global economy.

"Such an open dialogue helps us formulate adaptation strategies in advance, seek new logistical and financial solutions, and develop coordinated approaches to working under sanctions and the reform of global institutions. Confidence in the deep ties between our countries and peoples, which cannot be severed by short-sighted politicians, serves as a solid foundation for joint investment and trade projects, as well as cultural and technological exchange," the MCCI president emphasized in his welcoming address.

"Today, in the face of sanctions pressure, direct dialogue between Russian and Italian entrepreneurs remains the main source of trust and development," said Vittorio Torrembini, President of the Association of Italian Entrepreneurs in Russia (GIM Unimpresa), at the meeting. "We see that companies that continue to work together are finding new formats for cooperation, reorienting logistics and financial chains, and thereby not only preserving their businesses but also creating a foundation for future growth when the political situation inevitably changes."

Stefano Beltrame, Ambassador of Italy to the Russian Federation, also welcomed the Assembly participants via videoconference.
Anita Mengon, Director of the Association of Italian Entrepreneurs in Russia, presented a report on its activities for 2025, outlining the main areas of work and events in which the association participated.

The presentation by Andrey Klepach, Chief Economist of VEB.RF, generated considerable interest. In his analysis of the current economic situation in Russia and outlined key trends for the coming years, he outlined the key trends. According to him, Russia has never experienced "easy" years, but the accumulated experience of adapting to shocks and structural changes allows one to look to the future with moderate optimism, despite the remaining risks and limitations.

The discussion also included Alexander Murychev, Vice President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP); Philippe Pegorier, Vice President of the Association of European Businesses (AEB) and partner at the consulting agency Kesarev; Oleg Prozorov, CEO and member of the Board of the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Russia; and Antonio Fallico, President of the Connoisseurs of Eurasia Association.

Summarizing the meeting, the participants agreed that, in the face of sanctions and political turbulence, maintaining and developing mutually beneficial ties between Russian and Italian entrepreneurs is particularly important: sustainable economic cooperation and trust between business representatives remain the foundation upon which long-term projects can be built, regardless of economic conditions and changing political cycles.

The event was held with the support of the Moscow Government and the Moscow Department of Economic Policy and Development
