230 musicians from 6 countries took part in the 5th International Guitar Competition and Festival "Guitar Time", which ended in Moscow in early December. The event took place at several venues: the Moscow Conservatory, Niko Gallery, Rachmaninov Museum and others.

"It was a great pleasure for me to meet Russian musicians and share the joy of creativity with them on one stage. I thank the entire festival team for the brilliant organization, I found real friends here, this is an invaluable experience that I will never forget. The level of young musicians in Russia is very high, as are the achievements of scientists, doctors, athletes, this country is very rich in talent," says the chairman of the jury, professor of the guitar class at the University of Music and Fine Arts in Ankara Ayşegül Koca.

During the festival, she gave master classes for guitarists from Donetsk and Mariupol.

In total, the jury members conducted more than twenty free master classes.

According to the results of the competition, the places were distributed as follows:

  • 2nd prize was shared by Denis Shipulin and Mikhail Korotkov,

A duet of guitarists from Belarus - Nazar Malyshev and Tatyana Kanarskaya - was awarded first prize in the nomination "Chamber ensembles".

The winners will receive cash prizes, 5 handmade concert guitars, strings and other guitar accessories from the festival partners. They will also perform in the concert programs of the Moscow International Association of Guitar Art in the current season.

In addition to the competitive auditions, concerts of the jury members took place. In particular, on November 27, guitarists Ayşegül Koca, Victoria Naletova, Pavel Yevseyev and Gleb Okunev performed solo with the Moscow Sinfonietta orchestra at the Roman Catholic Cathedral.

Thousands of Muscovites and guests of the capital attended the festival concerts and had the opportunity to enjoy the mastery of world-class musicians!

The consulting group "Korpus Juris" traditionally acted as a partner of the competition-festival, and this year additionally established special prizes for young participants from Donbass.
