March 19, 2014, the opening of the project "Italian machinery and equipment in Russia» (Machines Italia in Moscow) was held in Moscow. The event was opened by the speech of the Ambassador of Italy in Russia Cesare Maria Ragalini. The Ambassador emphasized the importance of establishing and developing business relationships and a strong partnership between Italy and Russia: "In the most difficult moments of our bilateral relations, we have done everything to ensure that these relations developed successfully. Now we are going through a difficult moment, but as I said, we will overcome this as well. Italy was in Russia and it will be tomorrow. "
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministries of Economic Development of Italy and Russia, Russian leaders Federmacchine industry associations and unions, Russian and Italian large industrial groups, and representatives of specialized business media. The Chairman of the MCCI Comission on international trade cooperation with partners in Italian Republic Mr. Konstantin Krokhin was interviewed by RBC-TV, in his speech he emphasized that the Russian market is the direction of preserving technological capacity of Italy. Mr. Krokhin also noted that currently exists an unique situation for the expansion of bilateral cooperation in the field of production and trade, as Italy has a high level of technology development and production of culture, and Russia needs to modernize the production sector.
