The President of the MCCI Italian Commission spoke in the program "Report" on Italian Radio station Radio 24 (Gruppo "Il Sole 24 Ore"), dedicated to Russian-Italian inter-regional cooperation. In his address K. V. Krokhin told about an active development of projects, which were created on the basis of the principle MADE with ITALY in the last two years.

Mr. Krokhin pointed to unique opportunities for Italian entrepreneurs on the huge Russian market, explained it with our needs of Italian technologies and innovations in the fields where Italian manufacturers traditionally have a significant experience and a high quality: engineering, petrochemicals, infrastructure and public transport systems.

Great attention has been paid to the relations development in the field of food production and processing of agricultural products. We can see, that in recent times this really is a topic with great importance because of the current ratio of the ruble against the Euro, that makes the cost of goods, produced in Russia extremely low. To give an example of promising and profitable cooperation, Mr. Krokhin mentioned possibilities of high quality cheese production development in the Republic of Bashkortostan, that can be done with the Italian technologies. As Bashkortostan takes a leading place in Russia for production of milk and meat and also as it is surrounded by industrial regions, which are natural consumers of agricultural products, transfer of technologies in this area could suggest to an Italian entrepreneur a relatively fast return on investments. Today the development of relationships between businessmen of the two countries is more active due to the increased interest in cooperation at the interregional level.

A bright example with good results is cooperation between Moscow and Milan, which led to opening of first Russian car sharing draft “Delimobil’”, in which the introduction of Italian innovations was possible, thanks to the investment of the Italian capital also.  Also a similarity important example is the development of cooperation between Lombardy region and the Bashkortostan Republic, when two sides took the decision to prepare a comprehensive Agreement on cooperation in economics, culture and sport. The fact that the Lombardy region has the largest number of leading innovative Italian companies in its territory in the field of industrial production and in the sphere of processing agricultural products, at the same time the Republic of Bashkortostan has developed industrial sphere and significant potential in the field of agriculture and food production. So in this area the partnership with Italy will have a huge impact on businesses and residents of these regions.

Mr. Krokhin once again expressed confidence that economic cooperation between the two countries has a chance not only to return to the previous position, but, considering the accumulated experience, to significantly increase sanctions after overcoming barriers.
