May 29, 2015,  a round table  "The introduction of best practices of sustainable development as an important factor  for providing  import substitution and improvement of the investment climate Implementation of   best practices of sustainable development as an important factor to ensure import substitution and improving the investment climate" was held  at the  frame of  the III Economic Forum "Vladimir Region is a  regional center of import substitution» (http://forum.avo.ru/). It was  dedicated to the  problems of import substitution in the field of agriculture and food security.

The event was attended by about 150 guests:  the representatives of federal agencies, regional experts and the media, the representatives of Italian companies, including the  big ones - Ferrero  Group and ConfIndustria.

K.V. Krokhin, the Chairman of the Italian Commission, moderated the round table. Opening the event  he stressed  out, that Italy is a country,  which has advanced technology and expertise, and despite political developments  it  maintains large-scale cooperation with Russia. "I would like to say my  personal view to the issue of import substitution. This is a unique opportunity for Russia, for our economy and  for our society,  to return to a normal state of economic development, when we produce competitive products and we are self-reliant, but continuing our cooperation, the  development of relations with our foreign partners, "-Mr. Krokhin said.

The presentations were made by Enzo Marondzhiu, the First Secretary of Economic and Commercial Section of the Embassy of Italy in Moscow, and  by  Stefan Lembke,  the director of confectionery factory "Ferrero".  Mr.  Lembke also  stressed  out the desire of foreign investors to cooperate with Russian business.

Ernesto Ferlenghi,  the President of the ConfIndustria  Association, noted in his report  the seriousness of the sanctions regime for the European economies.  "Not to do business between Italy and Russia is  a catastrophic mistake. Our relationship is not just fashion and food. It  is  high technology. The Italians  consider   Russia as a long-term market. For us, the Italians, there is no more attractive market , than  the Russian one".

Oleg Fomin , the GD of JSC "Sukhoi port Vladimir",  Sergey  Monastirskyi,  the     Chairman of the Agricultural Production Cooperative "Shihobalovo",   Alexander Klepchenko , the   deputy head of leasing of agricultural machinery "Rosagroleasing”  and many others  speakers    made their presentations during the discussion of urgent problems and development of agriculture and industry.

As a result of the event, a resolution was  approved, which noted: " The technological modernization of agriculture and processing industry, small and medium enterprises, the development of logistics are the priority in the  strategic development
